St Andrew's Church Corbridge

.

The Parish of St. Andrew’s Corbridge, with Halton and Newton Hall.

Job share Organist

We wish to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic musician to make an essential contribution to the musical life of St Andrew’s parish church. The benefits of sharing this appointment have been proven over seven years, guaranteeing that the church has assured cover for the role whilst allowing a flexible commitment agreed between the two organists.

The post might be particularly attractive to a young person looking for church music experience, or a more experienced organist seeking a less onerous and more flexible commitment.

Payment will be according to RSCM guidelines for a Town Parish, on a 26 week  per year basis, playing for the 10am Parish Communion and weekly choir practice, monthly choral evensong, festival and special services, and regular weddings and funerals for which additional fees would be paid.

The organ is a fine Hill, Norman and Beard instrument built in 1925.  It is currently undergoing  a £100,000 restoration and enhancement due for completion in early 2021.
